Jill Freedman

Freedman has more than 20 years of experience as a therapist working with families, couples, and individuals. She is co-director of Evanston Family Therapy Center, a nonprofit program offering postgraduate training to therapists in the Chicago area and a faculty member of the Chicago Center for Family Health, an independent affiliate of the University of Chicago.

She is currently Reviews Editor of the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy. Previously she has served as Associate Editor of the American Family Therapy Academy Newsletter and the Movie and Play Review Editor of the Journal of Feminist Family Therapy. With Gene Combs, she has co-authored 2 books, Symbol, story, and ceremony: Using metaphor in individual and family therapy and Narrative therapy: The social construction of preferred realties, as well as numerous book chapters and articles.
